As a PMO Team Member, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Programme Management Office in the successful execution of projects and programmes. You will assist in establishing and maintaining project management standards, processes, and methodologies, contributing to the overall success of our organization’s projects.
Engineering Roles

Director of Product Development
As the Director of Product Development for the Space Solar programme, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the development of our innovative space demonstrators and products from initial concept and modelling to deployment and operation. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong track record in successfully delivering complex aerospace projects.

Director of Technology Development
As the Director of Technology Development for the Space Solar programme, you will play a pivotal role driving the research, development, and maturation of all the technologies that form the Space Solar system. This role requires a visionary and creative leader with a strong track record in successfully delivering complex technology maturation projects.

Head of Computational and Data Engineering
As Head of Computational & Data Engineering you are expected to be a recognized expert in the field(s) of (one or more of) HPC (modelling & extreme scale simulation), AI/ML or computer science more generally and are responsible for promoting continuous improvement in the way that Space Solar exploits simulation, moving from a business wherein codes are “calibrated” onto existing experiments, towards a future where codes are made “actionable” (i.e. predictive) by the application of Verification, Validation and Uncertainty Quantification (VVUQ) tools and techniques.

Senior Power Systems Engineer
As a Senior Power Systems Engineer you will lead and contribute to the design, development, and implementation of the in-space and terrestrial SBSP power systems. Your expertise will be crucial in solving the complex engineering challenges of converting microwave power, distribution and grid connection. You will also support any power systems on the spacecraft.

Senior Space Systems Engineer
As a Senior experienced Space Systems Engineer which can provide specialist expertise to inform the design, development, build and test of our Space Based Solar Power system and demonstrators. You will be part of a diverse and highly capable team which will work closely together to execute the programme.

Senior RF Engineer
As a Senior RF Engineer you will play the pivotal role in developing the technologies needed for 1-10GHz for satellite to the ground retrodirective phased array wireless power transmission.

Electronics and Digital Design Engineer
This is an exciting opportunity for an Electronics and Digital Design Engineer to be involved in the development of Space Based Solar Power technologies. The portfolio ranges from advanced DSP/FPGA systems, complex SoC systems, ASIC/MMIC chipset development. through to safety and security critical systems; using the latest embedded devices from all the major vendors.

DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER
The Development Engineer will contribute technically and lead projects that may cover low Technology Readiness Level concepts through Commercial-off-the-Shelf products, as part of multidisciplinary teams drawn from across the organisation and partners.

Senior Autonomous Assembly and Robotics Engineer
As a Senior Autonomous Assembly and Robotics Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of autonomous robotic systems for assembly of the Solar Power Satellite. You will develop technologies capable of interacting with both cooperative and non-cooperative SBSP components.

Autonomous Assembly and Robotics Engineer
As an Autonomous Assembly and Robotics Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of autonomous robotic systems for assembly of the Solar Power Satellite. You will develop technologies capable of interacting with both cooperative and non-cooperative SBSP components.

Lead Development Engineer
As a Lead Development Engineer at Space Solar, you will be responsible for leading a team of multi-disciplinary and specialist engineers and scientists in the design, development, and optimization of the technologies required for our products. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that our technologies meet performance, quality, and cost objectives, as well as fostering an environment of innovation and technical excellence.

RF Engineer
As an RF engineer you will be designing and developing the technologies needed for satellite to ground retrodirective-phased-array wireless power transmission and receipt in the 1-10GHz range.
This is a pivotal role in the development of SBSP, engineering the beam forming elements and integrating this within the Solar Power Satellite whilst ensuring that interference and losses are minimised, and the overall specific power is maximised.

Senior Electronics and Digital Design Engineer
As an experienced Senior Electronics and Digital Design Engineer you will be responsible for delivering the electronics and software elements of the design, development, build and test of our Space Based Solar Power system and demonstrators. You will be part of a diverse and highly capable team which will work closely together to execute the programme.
Business Operations Roles

Head of Digital, Info and IT
This is an exciting opportunity to create and grow from the foundations upwards the digital architecture and supporting digital systems to enable our fast paced, high tech business to flourish. This presents a great opportunity to create a lean, highly effective architecture from the outset, as well as bringing in new advancements in digital systems, data management and Power BI techniques to enable the business to be highly efficient, unlock value, and maintains its ambitious programme timescales.

IT Manager
As the IT Manager at Space Solar, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our IT operations. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, including managing our helpdesk (initially outsourced function), and overseeing the development and maintenance of our IT infrastructure. You will be joining the Head of Digital Systems and IT to build and implement robust IT systems for a fast paced & rapid scaling organisation.

Contracts Manager
As part of our Contracts team, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire contract lifecycle within our organization. Your role involves managing contract negotiations, ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and optimizing contract terms to support the company’s strategic objectives. You will play a crucial role in maintaining positive relationships with clients, vendors, and partners while safeguarding the company’s interests.

IP Analyst
As an IP Analyst at Space Solar you will be responsible for conducting research, analysis, and administrative tasks related to intellectual property (IP) matters. IP is critical to the success of Space Solar. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, patent attorneys, and external partners to help safeguard our IP assets and support company growth.
